retro baby!

We are gearing up for my mom's 53rd birthday bash! Its a volunteer party! She's been doing these the past five years...she picks a non-profit or organization near and dear to her heart- then invites all her friends and family to come volunteer for the day doing various tasks and handy work.

This year we are headed to Stuhr Museum!

Its a Vol-a-palooza theme- so as thank you's/party favors...we tie-dyed shirts for everyone! I know - you're thinking "Are you nuts!?" and yes we are!

It was one of my famous 'sounds good in theory but underestimated the complexity of carrying it out' projects. Gets me every time!

Pucca's BIG day!

Pucca was baptized this last weekend (in our faith, children can choose to be baptized when they are 8 years of age).

It was a sweet service with some of our friends and family. Grandma Ski and my dear friend, Kristina spoke and Pucca was baptized by a friend of the family. She made it throughWITHOUT wearing goggles! thank goodness!

More duckies?

Look who's back!

Daddy duck kept guard outside the courtyard while mama duck was walking around scoping it all out. Maybe this means more duckies this spring!

Birthday girl

Pucca seems to be having a week long birthday celebration. It started with her party this weekend, dinner and family festivities last night, today she gets to be class helper and special student of the day (it was supposed to be yesterday, but the teacher forgot her birthday-oops!), grandparent gifts are in the mail and will be here this week- so more gifts to open and then her baptism is on Saturday!

After John and I serenaded her with Happy Birthday...twice! We let her open her birthday gifts.

One of her gifts was a skate board- complete with wrist guards, elbow and knee pads and a sport helmet. (because this is the child who jumped up from a standing position, landed wrong and broke her foot...can you imagine what could happen on a skate board!? )

Birthday Party!

Pucca's turning 8 this week! We had her party this weekend...a 'Minute to WIN it' party!

We chose 7 games that would work for 7 and 8 year olds...and modified a few to make them a bit easier!

oh and Junk in the Trunk...I know I snapped some photos of it but can only find video...hmmmm??????? I'm losing my mind- have I mentioned that already!?

Then we had treats, snapped a few group photos and I sent all the children outside to enjoy the 70 degree day!
