For the past 5 months we've been having an issue with our fireplace.  At first we thought it was the wind blowing something around. Then we thought it was the sprinklers hitting the gutters/down spout. Nope...turns out we have a woodpecker. She sits up there and pecks mostly every morning for about 20-30 minutes. John says she's calling to another one because she looks around and then pecks again then looks around.

I say- Move on, lady! If after 5 months he hasn't shown, he ain't coming!
