In the early part of last year, my grandma was diagnosed with colon cancer. She had surgery and ten inches of her colon was removed. She then immediately started chemo and radiation. She's endured some pretty terrible stuff in the last 8 months. She had her last round of chemo 5 weeks ago. She went to the dr last week to see if the treatments had worked... his answer- You're free and clear! She'll be retested again in three months- but we're really hopeful!We're all so proud of you gma! You showed alot of courage and strength this past year- we love you!

That's great news! My mom made her 5 year mark from colon cancer in August.
"Grandma Shirley" hasn't changed a bit!! Small world that she lived down the street from us in GI and is married to a good friend of my brothers!!
